Our remodel of our 1930’s bungalow in Seabright was a delightful experience with Carl Ray and his crew. We liked the expertise that Carl brought to the project. He had the most experienced and loyal subcontractors to bring our vision to fruition.

In particular, we appreciated that he and Clarke Schultes wanted to preserve the era of the home and honor the neighborhood where it stands. They carried throughout the design the diamond shaped detail of the original house. The placement of the diamond pattern was repeated in the deck railing and the interior staircase railing. Making the house feel like a one-of-a-kind house.

There were a few changes that had to be made along the way. Sometimes they were pricey, but Carl was honest, creative and collaborative with finding a solution that made sense and ultimately we were very happy with the results.

I would recommend Carl Ray to anyone who is interested in creating a space, big or small, that they will want to show off to friends but most importantly live in that space with joy.
