Yacht Harbor Bungalow

“A few years ago I inherited my father's 1947, small, stucco house. It was in a beautiful location and built from heart-of-redwood, but the house itself was ugly, cramped and dark inside. We hired Clarke Shultes to make a design that maintained the spirit of the house my father had loved so well, but fit its location close to the harbor and beach.

Clarke highly recommended Carl Ray as our contractor. Following his recommendation was the best decision we ever made. While other contractors demolish remodels with heavy machines, we watched Carl and his team quickly dismantle our house by hand, saving the priceless old-growth redwood which he later hand-milled and incorporated into the exterior window sills and frames. That's when we knew Carl was no ordinary contractor.

Throughout the remodel he communicated with us daily; respectfully listening to our ideas and suggestions (although we soon learned his ideas were genius, far better than ours).  Carl is smart, honest and efficient. Due to his organization and pre-planning his team never lost a day of work, rain or shine. In fact, from the start of the remodel to moving into the house of our dreams was exactly 9 months! Carl made it a stress-free and exciting adventure.”

I know my father would love our beautiful "new" home.”

Thank you Carl.
